Silent People & ástvaldur

Dúettinn Silent People og raftónlistarmaðurinn Ástvaldur koma fram í Mengi á tónleikum laugardagskvöldið 4. febrúar klukkan 21.

Húsið verður opnað klukkan 20:30. Miðaverð: 2000 krónur.

Silent People er skipaður raftónlistarmanninum Stefano Meucci og trommuleikaranum Gianpaolo Camplese, báðir ítalskir en búsettir í Berlín. Þeir hafa lýst tónlist sveitarinnar sem raftónlistarbrjálæði, ferðalagi um hina ímynduðu þögn sem ávallt lúrir undir niðri. Báðir starfa þeir með ýmsum öðrum sveitum. Stefano í sveitunum "The Clover", “Raccoglimento Parziale” og "Ural, Gianpaolo í tríóinu Black Milk Impulses og hljóðverkefninu Paraesthesia.

Silent People hefur sent frá sér eina plötu, Silent People, sem kom út í takmörkuðu upplagi árið 2016 hjá útgáfufyrirtækinu AutRecords.

Raftónlistarmaðurinn Ástvaldur Axel Þórisson hefur áður komið fram í Mengi með félögum sínum innan útgáfunnar oqko. Á tónleikum laugardagskvöldið 21. febrúar kynnir hann til sögunnar hljóðheim sinnar fyrstu debútplötu sem út kemur 21. febrúar næstkomandi en platan ber heitið At Least.

Silent People is the electro-acoustic duo formed by the electronic musician Stefano Meucci (The Clover, Raccoglimento Parziale) and the drummer Gianpaolo Camplese (Black Milk Impulses, Paraesthesia).

A revaluation of At Least, the debut album from astvaldur to be released the 21.02.17. The album will be recomposed underlining different elements and bringing to light a more personal and slower tempered interpretation of the piece. The 7 themed album will reform and reevaluate its own boundaries, where his sonic textures and percussions take on a lower tempered and more concert based presentation.
