Mr. Silla hefur búið undanfarin misseri í Berlín og spilað víða um heim eftir útgáfu fyrstu sólóplötu hennar 'Mr. Silla'.

Um þessar mundir er hún stödd heima og býður ykkur að koma og heyra nýtt efni á tónleikum í Mengi, mánudaginn 10. júlí kl. 21.

Sigurlaug Gísladottir, A.K.A. Mr. Silla, has long been regarded as a creative force of reckoning following her years of involvement with such influential bands as múm and Mice Parade among many other collaborators. Now having travelled the world in support of her debut album, Mr. Silla has attained an audience enamored by a voice that is both shyly subtle and powerfully evocative. Matched only by a truly honest and enigmatic stage presence, the ethereal sonic landscapes explored by Mr. Silla mirror that of the creative hatchery of Iceland, whence she came. Now the Berlin-based Mr. Silla has begun work on her next bit of electro-pop perfection, so strap in, strap on, and stay tuned for what's to come.

It's been nearly two years, hundreds of shows, and millions of plays since the release of her self-titled, debut album, Mr. Silla. Now having spent many a Berlin day gathering her arsenal of inspired moments, she's ready to unveil a few new tracks at Mengi on July 10th that are unreleased and unbelievably GOOD!! So bring corn dogs, friends, and an unquenchable thirst for new summer jams, because they're HERE!!
