Óskar Guðjónsson + Skúli Sverrisson

Icelandic bassist Skúli Sverrisson and saxophonist Óskar Guðjónsson will perform together at Mengi on the evening of Thursday 20th December.

The original pairing of Sverrisson and Guðjónsson can be experienced on the 2001 recording “After Silence”, an album that became an international underground favourite of fans and musicians across the globe. The duo reached an even wider audience and recognition with their 2012 release “The Box Tree” winning them “best jazz album of the year" at The Icelandic Music awards.

Their music is moving and intuitive and together they make a powerful duo that is not to be missed.
