sideproject er hliðarverkefni örlygs steinars arnalds, úr korter í flog, hjálmars karlssonar og atla finnssonar (tobolsk catwalk orchestra). sveitin leikur ofbeldisfullt electro-punk, og hefur tónlistinni ýmist verið líst sem hreinni sýru, bestu tónlist í heimi, og svo framvegis. fyrsta plata sideproject, "isis emoji", kom út í ágúst sl., á vegum post-dreifingar, og hefur hlotið mikið lof frá tónlistargagnrýnendum og -áhangendum. platan er nú tilnefnd til hinna árlegu kraumsverðlauna.

þrátt fyrir að stutt sé frá fyrstu útgáfu sideproject, eru þeir nú þegar farnir að huga af miklum krafti að nýju efni, og er tvöföld plata væntanleg í gegnum post-dreifingu á næstu mánuðum.

sideproject’s debut record, “isis emoji”, came out in august 2018 and has been celebrated by music critics and fans - earning a nomination for the annual kraumur awards.

despite having quite recently released their first record, the band is already hard at work making more music, and a double album is expected in the coming months via the arts distribution collective post-dreifing.
