Emmanuel Lefrant lives in Paris, where he makes films, exclusively on celluloid. In 2000, he founded with two other filmmakers the collective Nominoë. Together they create performances and installations which have been shown in various places, such as the Pompidou Centre, the Serralvès Foundation and the Nasher Sculpture Museum.
Since 2007, he is the director of Light Cone, a Paris-based nonprofit organization founded in 1982 whose aim is the distribution and the promotion of experimental cinema around the world. Light Cone distributes today nearly 5000 experimental films made between 1905 and today by more than 700 artists and filmmakers around the world. 

*RAZZLE DAZZLE by Britt Al-Busultan

A live cinema performance for two 16mm projectors, handmade film loops, mirrors and assorted objects. By moving the projectors around in front of the audience, a continuously shifting site specific spatial and immersive environment is created, with the intention to make it difficult to estimate the targets range, speed and heading. Flickering reflections create the experience of becoming absorbed into, or mixed up with, the physical space around, the perception of being physically present in a non-physical world.

Britt Al-Busultan is a Dutch/Finnish visual artist whose “tableaux vivants” manifest themselves as hand-processed films, film installations and live cinema performances. She is currently based in Vaasa, Finland, where she founded the artist-run film lab Filmverkstaden.

Doors at 19:30. The event is open for all and free admission!

Kvikmyndagerðamaðurinn Emmanuel Lefrant hefur sett saman um klukkustunda langa dagskrá af 16mm kvikmyndum til að sýna í Mengi. 
Emmanuel býr og starfar í París þar sem hann vinnur að gerð eigin kvikmynda en einnig er hann framkvæmdastjóri Lightcone kvikmyndadreifingar sem leggur til kvikmyndir kvöldsins. Lightcone í París eru samtök sem voru stofnuð árið 1982 til þess að dreifa og kynna óhefðbundar og listrænar kvikmyndir víðs vegar að úr heiminum. Samtökin eru eitt af helstu dreifingaraðilum óhefðbundinna kvikmynda og halda utan um u.þ.b. 5000 kvikmyndir sem gerðar eru allt frá árinu 1905 til dagsins í dag.
Emmanuel Lefrant gerir kvikmyndir með celluloid filmu. Hann stofnaði ásamt tveimur öðrum samstarfsverkefnið Nominoë árið 2000 sem vinnur að gerð gjörninga og innsetninga sem sýndar hafa verið víða s.s í Pompidou safninu, the Serralvès stofnuninni og í Nasher Skúlptúrasafninu.

*RAZZLE DAZZLE eftir Britt Al-Busultan

Kvikmyndagerðarkonan Britt leikur sér með vörpun eigin kvikmyndamynda í samspili við lifandi tónlistarflutnings Þórönnu Björnsdóttur. 
Verkið byggir á því að hreyfa tvo 16mm kvikmyndavarpa til í rýminu og skapa nýjar víddir með notkun spegla og annara fjölbreyttra fyrirbæra. 
Britt Al-Busultan er Hollensk listakona sem býr og starfar í Vaasa í Finnlandi. Þar rekur hún kvikmyndafélagið Filmverkstaden ásamt því að vinna að gerð eigin kvikmynda og gjörninga þeim tengdum.
