Tim Dahl is a bassist, composer, and occasional vocalist in the avant-garde, noise, rock, Free jazz, and experimental international music scenes. Residing in New York City, Dahl is mostly known as a band member of Lydia Lunch’s Retrovirus, Child Abuse, The Flying Luttenbachers, Pulverize the Sound, and GRID, all of which he has recorded, performed, and toured with extensively.

He has also performed and/or recorded with a wide range of other world-class musicians including Yusef Lateef, Tatsuya Yoshida, Kool Keith, Rhys Chatham, Archie Shepp, Jandek, Eugene Chadbourne, Von Lmo, Marni Nixon, Nandor Nevai, Charles Hayward, Umar Bin Hassen, Weasel Walter, Von Freeman, Stanley Jordan, Mary Halvorson, Malcolm Mooney, Marc Ribot, Mick Barr, Ches Smith, Peter Evans, Hamid Drake, Ava Mendoza, Alex Ward, Rat Bastard, Jan Terri, John Zorn, Don Bolles, Andrew D’Angelo, Bob Bert, William Winant, Ron Stabinsky, Teenage Jesus and the Jerks, Neil Sedaka, Tyshawn Sorey, Makagami Koichi, Tamio Shiraschi, Maria Faust, Makato Kawabata, Kenny Millions, Tony Malaby amongst many others.
