Austin is on tour from the USA and John will perform a new set of solo music from an upcoming album.

Austin Larkin is a composer and violinist focusing on elemental experiences of tone - fields, durations, and patterns that emerge through resonance and distortion. His performance and practice is informed by research into dimensions of vibrating bodies. Recent work centers inner ear shapes, visceral violin sound, and rendering space as material in addition to medium.

John McCowen is a composer/clarinetist focused on extending the possibilities of the contrabass clarinet. John's multiphonic approach embraces drones, difference tones, and beating harmonics as a means to expose the compositional potential within a single, acoustic sound source. His work has been described by The New Yorker as "the sonic equivalent of microscopic life viewed on a slide" and "an astonishing demonstration of pure sound and human will" by The Wire.
