FALK presents: Meemo Comma + Francesco Fabris

Meemo Comma (UK) is the alias of Brighton born Lara Rix-Martin who previously recorded as part of the Heterotic duo on Planet Mu. She started the female identifying and non-binary label Objects Limited.

Her 2017 album Ghost On The Stairs marks Lara Rix-Martin’s first full-length solo release, as well as her first as Meemo Comma. She’s half of Heterotic with Mike Paradinas, and has also released an EP (on her own label) as Lux E Tenebris. Her debut album sees Rix-Martin moves into more experimental territory.

Francesco Fabris is a composer, sound artist, producer, musician and audio engineer. Working with live electronics, sound and intermedia installations, AV works, and recording studio productions.

Fabris explores themes and techniques connected with data sonification, micromontage, spatialization, patterns augmentation and fragmentation from foley and field recordings. His live performances are often based on unreleased materials and improvisation with modular synthesizers using processed concrete sounds and binaural recordings, tape manipulation techniques, saturated textures, deep sub-bass frequencies, and real-time manipulated visual contents.
Currently based at Greenhouse Studios c/o Bedroom Community in Reykjavík working on various projects with diverse artists, his recent collaborations include Valgeir Sigurðsson’s film scores ‘An Acceptable Loss’, ‘Little Moscow’, soundtracks for the videogame ‘Twin Mirror’, the theatre plays ‘Medea’, ‘Woman Undone” and Ben Frost’s music for 'DARK' Netflix Series. He has performed worldwide with different projects in clubs, festivals, galleries, theatres and residencies.
