Audio-Graphic Windows

Moss Kissing will be sharing what he calls "audio-graphic research". Using recordings of the sonic landscape of his life, be that social gatherings, concerts, shared meals, or the street outside his home, he stitches this patch work of audio to create compositions with a small modular system and Ableton. The overall aim of using documentation and audio archiving is to explore how we can open the interior world of the body and encompass a larger space and group of people through sound performances. He will also experiment for the first time with film, that he has captured on his phone. Expect to hear broken rhythms, crackled voice notes, loose guitar melodies, heavy rain and singing.
Moss Kissing is from the UK and is based in Lisbon. He is a multidisciplinary artist working from music, tattooing to performance. As a musical artist, he is highly versatile, allowing him to create two different but fused spheres in his work. In one, through heavy basslines, complex rhythms, and live vocals, he dislocates the energy of a band to the club. In the other, through tactile textures and foggy worlds, he explores the realms of ambience and memory. He will debut his album on vinyl this October with Lisbon label Vilamar.
