Marí invites you to celebrate her debut record release in Mengi on the 3rd of November. She will perform songs from the album on the occasion. The event is free and open for all.

Marí delivers a collection of songs in a timeless, reflective
and calm, yet edgy, gloomy and melancholic universe.
Making Peace With Uncertainty is an album that navigates the universe of classic singer-songwriter traditions with its acoustic elements, while at the same time mixing with airy and jazzy elements and melodies. The result is a stunning sound of light shadows as the music merges between the dark and the light.

One is tempted to place Marí's sound somewhere between PJ Harvey, Vashti Bunyan, Tindersticks and Tori Amos with a bit of Linda Perhacs and Bonnie Prince Billy added. Thus the music and the sound also draw their inspiration from the past 6 decades of music history.

The album was recorded in Sundlaugin Studio in close collaboration with producer Albert Finnbogason . Marí will tour the album in 2024 with drummer Magnús Trygvason Eliassen & Albert Finnbogason.
