Mason Lindahl is a Californian guitarist and composer, now based in New York City. In his music, intense classical guitar arpeggios and post-rock chords alternate skillfully, perfectly accompanying a seemingly endless flow of thoughts, between the feeling of emptiness and chaos and the apparent calm of the pauses, in a visceral climax. Closer to Tchaikovsky than John Fahey. Soft, yet more violent with each repetition, the main inspiration for "Kissing Rosy in the Rain" is finding calm in the storm. The album "Kissing Rosy in the Rain" was released in 2021 by Tompkins Square, a San Francisco label: "I loved it immediately. Something about the guitar reminds me of Leonard Cohen, desperate and dark, yet somehow soothing and seeking brightness. Mason has created his own sound world, in which to remain alone," writes Josh Rosenthal, the label's owner.
