These three musical adventurers will perform a mix of original compositions and unique treatments of standard tunes. Rorke has been called “a heavyweight” by Norway’s Jazznytt and his recent endeavours "Kaleidoscopic" by prominent Israeli Jazz reviewer Eyal Hareuveni, while Hemstock’s and Valdi Kolli's contributions to iconic Icelandic recordings are highly acclaimed.

A graduate of Norway’s Jazzlinja that has produced so much talent that has emerging into the European Jazz environment in the last generation, Rorke’s playing combines open, melodic improvisation with a lifelong relationship with the Jazz tradition. His CD last year entitled “The Dark” received widespread critical acclaim in Europe’s Jazz press.

Hemstock, a Berklee School of Music grad, has established himself as one of the most interesting and versatile drummers in Europe. He has just return from a successful European tour with a trio consisting of saxophonist Óskar Guðjónsson and Danish bassist Richard Andersson, where they launched their new CD entitled “Nor”.

Valdi Kolli is one of Iceland's most prolific musicians and has worked with a large group of improvisers and musicians, including Jóel Pálsson, Achim Kaufmann, Ásgeir, Agnar Már Magnússon, and more.
