Following his show at Listahatid in June singer, composer and multi-instrumentalist Abraham Brody returns to perform in Reykjavik. Brody has been compared to modern classical avant-garde composers such as ANOHNI’s Anthony and the Johnsons project, Laurie Anderson and Anna von Hausswolff, Brody. A collaborator of artist Marina Abramovic, a WNYC New Sound's 'Top Artist of 2017' and hailed by Broadway World as 'epic' he mixes crushing atmospheric classical sections, dazzling electronics and synthesizers on top of imaginative, passion-soaked vocal layering. His compositions are deeply influenced by the mythology and spirituality of his Lithuanian roots.
Here at MENGI he presents work from his new album recorded at Greenhouse Studios in Reykjavik. The Album, 'Crossings' will be released in November.
