Thoranna Bjornsdottir is a sound and visual artist based in Reykjavík Iceland. She studied music from an early age and graduated as a classical pianist. Then she immediately turned to the field of contemporary sound and art. A graduate of the Royal Academy of art in the Hague Thoranna has worked as a video and performance artist in the electroacoustic field; working with different medium she realizes her work through film, performances and installations.
Thoranna is a productive composer and has received good regard for her composition and performances. Her work has been broadcasted by the National Broadcasting Service in Iceland and she has performed at concerts and festivals in Iceland and abroad. Björnsdóttir's works are experiments in capturing sound and soundspaces which she encounters every day. She uses recorded sounds and made sounds in combination with a more classical approach in creating her very own soundscape.

In Andervel, Mexican folk music meets Iceland’s emotional landscapes.
Celebrated as “a rare pearl in Spanish-language music” by Spanish-American media outlet Al Día, Andervel’s debut album “Beginners” was released in 2016. His hotly anticipated EP, “Noche,” is scheduled for release in late 2020. “Noche” will include recent singles “No Sé” and “Muñequita.” Andervel is currently working on a second album which partners his sincere and timeless brand of folk-pop with English-language lyrics.

Þóranna Dögg Björnsdottir er hljóð | myndlistarmaður og tónskáld | flytjandi.
Þóranna stundaði tónlistarnám frá unga aldri og lauk burtfararprófi í klassískum píanóleik frá Tónlistarskóla FÍH. Hún lauk BA gráðu í hljóð- og myndlist frá Konunglega Listaháskólanum í Haag árið 2006 og M.Art.Ed gráðu í kennslufræði lista við Listaháskóla Íslands árið 2014.
Þóranna hefur sótt ýmis námskeið og vinnustofur í tengslum við tónlist, hljóð- og myndlist og staðið að kennslu í þeim efnum.
Viðfangsefni Þórönnu eru mörg og fjölbreytt en snúast gjarnan um heimssýn einstaklingsins, hvernig hún mótast og þróast. Verkefnin fela í sér þverfagleg vinnubrögð og þreifingar þvert á miðla og eru verk hennar gjarnan sambland af mynd og hljóði; taka form í gegnum lifandi gjörninga, innsetningar, skúlptúra og hljóðverk. Verk Þórönnu hafa verið flutt víða og hefur hún komið fram á fjölmörgum tónleikum og listahátíðum á Íslandi og erlendis. Þóranna starfar einnig með listahópnum Wunderland http://wunderland.dk/
Árið 2019 gaf Þóranna út hljómplötuna LUCID ásamt Federico Placidi, í samvinnu við Smekkleysu og var sú plata tilnefnd til Íslensku Tónlistarverðlaunanna í flokki sígildrar- og samtímatónlistar
